I am going to list here the products I have that I can offer either at Market on Saturdays or if you cannot make that we can plan a meet up if you contact me via email betty.kloppenburg@gmail.com or text ( contact me via facebook, email or in person for my cell number). I am trying to find the easiest way for you to be in contact with me without me being overwhelmed with spam. This is why if you do connect with me via email or texting I am very cautious to keep your contact information safe as well.
I do want to work towards having a method of video instruction for use of the products I make, I am working on that for the near future. I will post when I have that working and how to find the content.

Soft Silky Hair can happen!

Several years ago I went through attempting to develop a natural shampoo and conditioner for my own hair. What I made worked on some people, and absolutely not on others, myself included. I so wanted to have something that would work for everyone and be safer, contain no SLS (explanation of SLS), and be economical as well. I gave up after a while, offered the recipe I used to make but made sure only those I knew it would work for purchased it, and admitted it was something I couldn't use myself. After I moved from Pennsylvania I set the recipe to rest and didn't offer or use my own natural shampoo or conditioner.
But the story didn't end there...today I have not only found a way to create a fantastic shampoo and conditioner, I have been using it myself for months and am amazed by the results, even my grey wiry hair has softness and luster like it never had before! I have developed a shampoo with rosemary essential oil and other lovely ingredients that cleans thoroughly, but gently, and smells fantastic! I have also created a conditioner that moisturizes and repairs as well as protects from the heat and everyday stressors that can cause damage.
I have been washing only sporadically for a long time now, I realized early on that the 'lather, rinse, repeat' mantra we were told is not necessary and actually can strip your hair. So I wash 2-3 times a week and when I do wash my hair I usually only need 1 wash- not 2. I follow this wash with a good coat of conditioner soaking into my hair, especially the ends, then a rinse off. When I am going to head out into the sun, using a blow dryer or straightener, or just feel my hair needs a little nourishment- I rub a pea size mount into my hands and run my fingers through my hair evenly distributing the little bit the coat and sooth my tresses.
I have been making a few fragrances for this conditioner because people can have some strong preferences when it comes to aroma. I offer peppermint, a citrus blend and now lavender.
I have seen success with young hair, older hair (like mine-totally grey), thick and wavey, soft and straight...I look forward to you trying this out and letting me know what you think. I will be at the Los Ranchos Growers and Arts & Craft Market this saturday, or order here online at my ETSY shop: Shampoo & Conditioner
So, that's my post for today, please feel free to contact me with any questions,I appreciate feedback as well. Take care and remember to

Routine

They involve the following steps:
- using a blend of oil for moisturizer around my eyes, I just gently caress a drop or two around my whole eye area...
- using oatmeal cleanser to wash my entire face & throat, I just use a teaspoon in my wet hands and slough it all over then rinse away...
- I fill a big mug with a few inches with hot water and soak my bottle of natural toothpaste to get it warm and free flowing, I only have to do this if it is chilly in the bathroom- I do this while I begin the next step...
- If it's tuesday I take my container of cinnamon lip scrub and stir it with my finger then apply some to my lips, gently scrubbing in a circular pattern-then rinse well with warm water and pat dry...
- I now can use my all natural toothpaste, a little more than a pea size amount , and brush my teeth and mouth and gain the feeling of clean fresh confidence in my smile :o)
- I then apply all natural lip balm to my lips & feel it soothing &protecting and tasting oh so yummy...
- lately as I comb my fingers through my hair I apply a small dab of home made conditioner through the ends of my hair to heal the split dry areas I seem to get if I don't.

What do you do in the morning as your daily rituals? Would you like to try some natural means of performing those steps? Would you like to feel confident that you are taking steps to try to be healthier, environmentally aware & economically wise?
If so just look through my blog for ideas, look at my facebook page and contact me if you have any questions, ideas, or requests as I get my online shop up and running again.
I hope your week is full of fresh signs of life!
take care
